It’s completely natural to experience emotional or psychological challenges such as anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, grief, low self-esteem or anger.

Seeking counselling takes courage; it’s a sign of resilience and an important first step toward healing and change.

I offer a safe, compassionate, and sometimes gently challenging space where you can explore your emotions, thoughts, and behaviours.
Through this process, you can develop greater self-awareness, confidence and balance.

My counselling practice provides an inclusive and confidential environment, where you can explore every part of yourself without fear or judgement.

About Rowan Shingler Counselling
Feelings such as shame, guilt, anger, or unworthiness can keep us stuck in painful cycles, especially when we can’t acknowledge them. Counselling offers the opportunity to understand and work through these feelings, helping you find meaning and freedom.
I believe our childhood experiences often shape how we relate to ourselves and others in adulthood. When trauma or early difficulties remain unprocessed, they can influence how we think, feel, and behave in the present. Together, we’ll bring awareness to these patterns so you can make more conscious choices in your life.
Working collaboratively and at your own pace, we may explore your family history, relationships, beliefs, and key life events that have shaped who you are.
I believe that our therapeutic relationship and the exploration of your lived experience are central to healing and growth.
My Counselling Approach
I work with adults in both short- and long-term counselling, offering support for a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges.
My approach is integrative, drawing on psychodynamic, relational, trauma-informed, and attachment-based principles. This means our work together is flexible and tailored to you, exploring both past experiences and present challenges to foster lasting change.
I’ve worked with clients from diverse backgrounds, always respecting individuality and difference. Everyone’s story matters and everyone deserves to feel seen and heard.
